EchoFX Announces Upgrade to Its Recently Released InterView for OS X Software

Atlanta, GA. Today, EchoFX, a Macintosh software developer, announced the immediate availability of InterView software for OS X version 2.2.2. This latest release fixes installation issues and corrects minor incompatibilities in the software. Additionally, an option for earlier XLR8 InterView 2.1 customers to register with EchoFX is now provided during installation. The upgrade is available free of charge to all EchoFX customers and XLR8 InterView 2.1 customers via the EchoFX web site at

Last week after XLR8 ceased business, EchoFX announced it would offer continued OS X software support for the XLR8 InterView USB analog video capture device. Founded in 1998, the Norcross, Georgia-based XLR8 Inc. had focused on the development of Macintosh processor upgrades and peripherals and had been shipping the EchoFX OS X software with InterView video capture device since May of this year. Upon its debut, the XLR8 InterView had been named  “Product of the Year” by MacHome Journal in 1999. EchoFX’s software brings Mac OS X compatibility to the InterView USB analog video capture device as well as provides enhanced features over previous InterView software, including higher quality video images, higher frame rates, larger frame sizes, better sound synchronization and smaller file sizes for saved movies.

The recent software upgrade is available as a free download to all previously registered EchoFX and XLR8 InterView 2.1 customers via EchoFX will continue to sell its Mac OS X software upgrade for the InterView USB video capture device via the EchoFX web site for $25 USD and has eliminated the previous requirement of XLR8 customers to send in the InterView device for upgrade.
